Ingredients

1 pound ditalini or tube-shaped pasta

1 medium red bell peper chopped

2 cloves of garlic minced

2 cans (5 oz)  tuna packed in water, drained and flaked

1 tablespoon minced yellow onion

1 cup canned Great Northern white beans, drained and rinced

3 tablespoons reduced - sodium chicken broth

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 large chopped tomato

Directions

  1.  Cook pasta according to package directions, but do not use salt and drain.
  2. Spray a large nonstick skillet with vegetable or olive oil cooking spray.  Heat skillet over medium heat.  Add bell peper.  Cook stirring until softened about 3 minutes.  Add garlic and onion.  Cook stirring about 2 minutes longer
  3. Stir tuna, beans, broth and lemon juice into skillet.  Cook, stiring until heated through about 5 minutes.  Stir in pasta, paarsley and black pepper. 
  4. At the last minute add chopped tomatoes
  5. Spoon mixture onto a serving platter and serve immediately
